Buffalo Malting House is purchased at auction by Shawn P. Wright and Jerry D. Young.
Renamed Silos at Elk Street.
2016
Silos at Elk Street demolition and planning begins.
2017
Summer: Silos at Elk Street construction begins.
Fall: Construction continues.
Winter: Masonry demolition underway.
1st floor metal resurfacing & 2nd floor HVAC begins.
Exterior updates begin.
2018
Spring: New concrete floors are poured - 1st floor lobby & 2nd floor office space.
Summer: 2nd floor interior updates.
1st floor door & window frames are installed.
Young + Wright Architectural moves into the 2nd floor office space.
2019
Spring: Updates continue.
May 2: “Silobration” Silos at Elk Street Grand Opening takes place.

This abandoned structure has started a remarkable journey, beginning a new chapter nearly a century after its construction.
Today, the Silos on Elk Street is a vibrant hub, housing offices, residential lofts, a barber shop, an event center, a cutting-edge brewery and pizza bakery.
